With the divine Mangalasasanams of Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, the Mahila Arogya Vikas team successfully organized a women’s health screening camp on 1st March 2026 at Silver Drop School (Old Silver Drop School), Meerpet.
This meaningful initiative was organized and generously sponsored by J. Srinivasa Rao, whose support helped bring essential healthcare services closer to women in the community. The camp aimed to promote awareness about women’s health, encourage preventive screening, and ensure early detection of health issues.
The camp was conducted by the Ushasree Meerpet team of Mahila Arogya Vikas, whose dedicated members worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth execution of the program. The team members included Addanki Kamala, Kodada Laxmi, Prasanna Laxmi, Jyothi, Radamma, Aruna, Rupa, Uma, Srinivas Reddy, and Chaitanya, who actively participated in organizing the camp and supporting the medical screening process.
During the camp, 64 women attended as outpatients (OP) and received medical consultation and guidance regarding their health concerns. As part of the screening process, 64 VIA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid) tests were conducted. VIA screening is an important preventive method for the early detection of cervical health issues and plays a vital role in promoting women’s health and well-being.
Based on the screening results and medical evaluation, 15 women were recommended for follow-up care to ensure that they receive further medical attention and appropriate treatment if required. The Mahila Arogya Vikas team will continue to monitor these cases and guide them toward proper healthcare support.
Through such initiatives, Mahila Arogya Vikas remains committed to empowering women with awareness, preventive health screenings, and timely medical guidance. These camps help create a supportive environment where women are encouraged to prioritize their health and seek early medical care when needed.
The team looks forward to continuing these service activities and reaching more communities to promote women’s health, preventive care, and overall wellness, thereby contributing to healthier families and stronger communities.
