Cancer Awareness Rally on World Cancer Day

With the divine blessings of Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, the Mahila Arogya Vikas Vizianagaram team continues its dedicated efforts toward improving women’s health through awareness, screening, and community outreach programs.

As part of this service activity, the team conducted a survey and organized a women’s health screening camp in Govara Street, Vizianagaram. This initiative was successfully carried out with the valuable support of the Jain Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Vizianagaram. During the camp, a total of 46 women underwent VIA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid) screening, which is an important preventive screening method used for the early detection of cervical health issues. The program helped create awareness among women about the importance of regular health check-ups and early diagnosis.

On the occasion of World Cancer Day, the Mahila Arogya Vikas team also organized an awareness rally to educate the local community about cancer prevention and the importance of early screening. Through this rally, the team spread messages on maintaining good health, recognizing early symptoms, and encouraging women to undergo regular medical screenings. The initiative aimed to motivate the public to take proactive steps toward preventive healthcare and lead healthier lives.

Further strengthening this effort, with the support of Sri Srinivasa Seva Sangham, a base camp and follow-up camp were conducted at the Vikasatarangini Office on Ring Road, Vizianagaram, on 14-02-2026. During this follow-up program, an additional 12 women underwent VIA screening, ensuring that women who required further evaluation or who could not attend the earlier camp also received the opportunity for screening and medical guidance.

Through these combined initiatives, the Mahila Arogya Vikas team screened a total of 58 women, providing them with awareness, preventive screening, and guidance for better health. These programs reflect the continued commitment of Mahila Arogya Vikas to reach more women, promote preventive healthcare, and support the early detection of diseases.

With the blessings and guidance of revered elders and the support of community organizations, the Mahila Arogya Vikas team remains devoted to serving society by empowering women with knowledge, access to health screenings, and encouragement to prioritize their health and well-being.
