MAV transformed screening by designing a customized colposcope. What typically costs ₹2.5 Lakh is now available for just ₹6,000, making early detection accessible to every woman.
An important aspect of the MAV initiative is ensuring that beneficiaries receive continued support after the initial screening. The follow-up cases identified during the camp have been referred for further diagnostic evaluation and treatment under appropriate medical supervision.
The initiative emphasizes the importance of early detection, timely medical intervention, regular follow-up, and greater awareness of women’s health.
Follow-up cases from previous MAV camps are currently undergoing further diagnostic investigations and treatment under the care of Dr. Priyanka, Oncologist. The continued monitoring of these beneficiaries reflects MAV’s commitment to ensuring that healthcare support extends beyond the camp itself.
Such follow-up initiatives play an important role in helping women access appropriate medical care and receive timely attention for health concerns identified during preventive screenings.
The Gokulapadu camp was another meaningful step towards strengthening women’s access to preventive healthcare in the community. Through medical consultations, VIA screening, referrals, and continued follow-up, Mahila Arogya Vikas continues to create awareness and encourage women to take proactive steps towards their health and well-being.
We sincerely thank Dr. Kiran Tejasvi, Dr. Revathi, Smt. Lalitha Garu, the MAV Vizag Team, volunteers, medical staff, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of this camp.
With the continued blessings and Mangalasasanams of our beloved Acharya, we pray that such healthcare initiatives reach more women and continue to serve communities with compassion and dedication.

Ms. Haseena, an audiologist from Vijayawada with over 20 years of professional experience, shared her experience. She had been experiencing irregular menstrual cycles and excessive bleeding for nearly a year. Concerned about her symptoms, she attended a Mahila Arogya Vikas screening camp for evaluation. After undergoing the necessary examinations, the medical team reassured her that her condition was manageable. They counselled her that her diagnosis was a common condition and advised her on appropriate follow-up care, treatment, and healthy lifestyle practices. Ms. Haseena emphasized that every woman should undergo regular health screenings because early detection is the key to preventing serious illnesses. She appreciated the counselling provided by the doctors and expressed her sincere gratitude to HH Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, the Mahila Arogya Vikas team, and the doctors for conducting these life-changing health camps and giving women the confidence to take charge of their health.
